Happy Fall Y'all!   I hope this week is starting out well!  

This Week's Highlights:

Student Participation

Classroom teachers are needing to update student participation in grade book. NHA is requiring the teachers to put "simple but specific" comments in Gradebook for participation. We are trying to help the teachers with this attendance issue, so please remember to send the teachers information if you have contact with one of your students and a short comment about what did with you.  This should be done daily.

Count Day

Count Day is Wednesday, October 7th. Please try to plan some type of incentive for attending on Count Day. I would love to know what you all are doing. 

News to Know...

• Remember to notify parents and students immediately of any their is and issue with our internet or any type of technical difficulties that cause changes to the schedules. 
• Staff Meeting is Wednesday, September 30 at 7:45 am. We will be covering Edcite.
• AIMSWeb Benchmarking continues.  Last day for completion is Friday, October 2nd.
• NWEA Reading testing started this Monday. Please carefully read over the testing materials that you received and set up your classes in advanced. 
• 8th and 5th - Monday 9/28
• 7th and 4th - Tuesday 9/29
• 6th and 2nd - Wednesday 9/30
• K and 1st - Thursday 10/1
• 3rd - Friday 10/2
• There is NO SCHOOL for students on Friday Oct. 9th. We will have professional development that day.

Hey Team!  

The blog is up and so I am now officially welcoming each of you to a new school year.  Wow! What a ride it has been already!  I want to give you all props as you are already doing an amazing job navigating this new virtual world. I'm so proud of you and the work that you've been doing! Keep up the great work. 

Next Week Highlights:

Monday:  The administration team will begin doing observations of classes.  If we pop on to your class, just keep teaching.

Reminders:

• 03's - I will be sending you my Dean Schedule which will display your 03 time.  We will begin 03's this week.
• SpEd - CLPs are due to be completed by Monday, 9/21 at 8:00.
• NWEA testing will begin the week of 9/28.  Please remember to read over the Virtual Administration documents before next Friday's staff meeting.

Help Wanted

Dwyer's team has implemented a great team strategy to help each other out with this technology. I am stealing her idea,  as I would really like our team to have its own experts in the tech that we're using. Olney is our Blocksi building expert, but I'd like to have one expert for each of the other things as well. You can be our go to person for that program if we have questions and use our wing meeting time to teach us how to use it and any new tricks you might find. That being said, who's volunteering for what? :)  We have:

• google classroom, 
• google meet, 
• jamboard, 
• classkick, and 
• edcite. 

If you are willing to be the go to person for one of those programs, please email me asap.
