Week 8

Hello Team! Happy Monday! Thank you to all of those who took the time to complete the Glint Survey. Welcome back Ms. Knikelbine and Mrs. Licht!  You have been missed!

03's and Team Meetings continue this week!  Please be prepared to discuss the transition into Hybrid learning and how you will support the two types of instruction during your 03.

Considerations for Hybrid

As we plan for hybrid instruction, we need to consider classroom expectations that need to be taught. Think about the expectations and procedures that you will put in place for the following:
  • Wearing masks appropriately all day
  • Adhering to social distancing in classroom and hallways
  • Using sanitizer before entering the room
  • Bathroom breaks as a class
  • Breakfast and lunch expectations
  • Individual student supplies (Bridges manipulatives)
  • Location for charging stations
  • Cool down spot in the classroom (Buddy rooms will not be utilized)
  • Teaching good handwashing techniques, tissue use, blowing noses, coughing into arms
This is just a few things to start considering before our students come back. Discuss these items with your team and come up with a plan. It is crucial that we have strong procedures in place for the success and safety of us all.

Week 5

Bitmoji Image
I want to start this week's blog out with a shout out to our team...you all have been amazing while dealing with NWEA testing, AIMSWeb testing, IEP testing, paperwork and meetings, technology issues, and just dealing with the highs and lows of virtual instruction!  Thank you so much for your dedication, diligence and "can-do" spirit.  I appreciate you all so much!

This Week's Highlights:

NWEA Testing

NWEA testing continues this week with Math and some ELA make-ups.  Just a reminder that we will be testing NWEA in the winter this year. Also keep in mind that in our new cohort, we are expected to administer Interim 3 in the spring of this school year. It is around the same time as NWEA.

Count Day

Highly encourage every student to attend at least one live session on that day. If they join a live session, their name will be entered into a drawing to receive lunch that will be delivered by the Dean on the next day.

Staff Share out

On Oct. 9th, there is no school for the students. However, we will be in attendance. We are planning to have the staff share out best practices with each other. Each grade level will present a technology and one curricular resource to share with the staff. This includes us, so as a team, please decide on one tech and one curricular resource to share.  You will have 15 minutes to present.

Candy Donations

Remember, we are collecting donations for Laurus' Drive Thru Trick or Treat Event on Oct. 30th. Please bring your donations (Family size bags: 84 piece minimum) to me and I will record your donations. If you donate, you can dress down for the week.
