Week 5

Bitmoji Image
I want to start this week's blog out with a shout out to our team...you all have been amazing while dealing with NWEA testing, AIMSWeb testing, IEP testing, paperwork and meetings, technology issues, and just dealing with the highs and lows of virtual instruction!  Thank you so much for your dedication, diligence and "can-do" spirit.  I appreciate you all so much!

This Week's Highlights:

NWEA Testing

NWEA testing continues this week with Math and some ELA make-ups.  Just a reminder that we will be testing NWEA in the winter this year. Also keep in mind that in our new cohort, we are expected to administer Interim 3 in the spring of this school year. It is around the same time as NWEA.

Count Day

Highly encourage every student to attend at least one live session on that day. If they join a live session, their name will be entered into a drawing to receive lunch that will be delivered by the Dean on the next day.

Staff Share out

On Oct. 9th, there is no school for the students. However, we will be in attendance. We are planning to have the staff share out best practices with each other. Each grade level will present a technology and one curricular resource to share with the staff. This includes us, so as a team, please decide on one tech and one curricular resource to share.  You will have 15 minutes to present.

Candy Donations

Remember, we are collecting donations for Laurus' Drive Thru Trick or Treat Event on Oct. 30th. Please bring your donations (Family size bags: 84 piece minimum) to me and I will record your donations. If you donate, you can dress down for the week. This event will happen during the later part of the school day. Start planning your costume for the event! We will dress up and safely pass out the candy as our families drive by. This should be fun!

Class Kick

Here are some resources for Class Kick....trainings, tutorials, and documents.  Please take some time to review these materials as this is the next big tech push and expectation for use by NHA.
